late summer

We’ve been soaking up these late summer days, as the seasons are starting to change. It’s getting dark earlier, the nights are cool, and the mornings are brisk (well maybe not this week, but last week!). Somehow the sunlight seems more golden and precious, and it makes me stop and appreciate all that’s around me.   Inside, […]

We snacked on these delicious oatmeal raisin cookies all week. I’m sad there are none left; they sure were good while they lasted. Tonight, we had applesauce for dessert. I made it this morning, and it’s a really great batch. It’s definitely not going to last very long.

April May Yay for re-dos! Sorry you weren't 100%, I hope you're all better now :)

Sara We had a date night planned and I ended up with the worst stomach ache! We're definitely going to have a do-over, just not sure when yet.

Orange Hearts

For Eric’s birthday salad, I cut the carrots into hearts. I’ll have to do that again; it was so simple!

Happy Birthday, Eric!

I’ve organized a birthday party for Eric every year since 2008, and last night was the 5th annual get-together. For the happy occasion, I made a really fun cake*. I need to work on my cake writing skills. Writing with frosting is HARD. But even with the messy handwriting, it came out really well! Everybody seemed […]
